Advertising policy
This website may display advertisements served by Microsoft Advertising, and this policy explains how that works, what data is involved and how you can opt out.
Effective date: 1 October 2026How ad serving works on this site
6MEDIA NE LTD. is a small studio, and advertising helps keep this website available to visitors at no cost to them. Where ads appear on these pages, they are served by Microsoft Advertising (the advertising platform behind Bing and Microsoft's network of partner sites and apps). When a page containing an ad slot loads, your browser requests an advertisement from Microsoft's servers, and Microsoft decides which ad to show. We choose the size and position of ad slots; we do not choose the specific ad you see, and we do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers ourselves.
Microsoft's use of cookies and data
To select, deliver and measure advertisements, Microsoft may use cookies and similar technologies, device identifiers and information about the page you are viewing. Depending on your settings and the advertising products in use, this can include your IP address, browser and device characteristics, the content of the page hosting the ad, and — where personalised advertising is permitted — data about your interests and activity on this and other sites gathered over time. All of this processing is carried out by Microsoft as an independent data controller under its own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read:
- Microsoft Advertising policies — the rules Microsoft applies to advertisers and ad content.
- Microsoft Privacy Statement — how Microsoft collects, uses and protects personal data across its services.
Personalised and non-personalised ads
Personalised (sometimes called interest-based) ads use information about your activity over time — on this site and on others — to make the ads you see more relevant. Non-personalised ads are chosen using contextual information only, such as the content of the page you are reading, without reference to your browsing history. Where advertising is shown on this site, Microsoft determines the mix of personalised and non-personalised delivery based on your consent choices, your location and applicable law. You remain free to change those choices at any time using the opt-out routes below.
How to opt out
You have several independent ways to control advertising on this and other sites:
- Microsoft ad personalisation settings. Sign in to your Microsoft account and review the advertising and privacy controls in your privacy dashboard to switch off personalised ads from Microsoft.
- Industry opt-outs. Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies, including Microsoft.
- This site's consent banner. Use the Decline option on our cookie banner to withhold consent for advertising cookies on your first visit, or use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to change your choice later.
- Your browser. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings also limits the cookies advertising partners can set, though it may affect other features such as the embedded map on our contact page.
Please note that opting out of personalised advertising does not remove advertising altogether — you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.
Our position on ad content
We expect advertising shown alongside our work to meet the same standard of honesty we apply to our own. Advertisers must comply with Microsoft's advertising policies, and ads that are misleading, intrusive or inappropriate can be reported directly to Microsoft through the "Report this ad" option that appears on Microsoft-served advertisements.
Changes to this policy
If the advertising arrangements for this website change — for example, if additional ad partners are introduced — we will update this page and, where the change affects the data involved, ask you to review your consent again. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.
